The Japanese automaker has made a few improvements for 2026, particularly to the wireless charging area. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can now be displayed in full screen. Other than that, it is essentially the same vehicle, and that's a good thing since the current model has proven itself over the years.
For 2026, the Acura RDX lineup consists of three versions. The entry-level model, simply called the RDX, starts at $58,808 and comes with a comprehensive list of standard features for the price. For $62,638, you can step up to the A-SPEC version, which is particularly appealing from a styling standpoint. Finally, the Platinum Elite A-SPEC sits at the top of the lineup at $67,638 with additional luxury features. Between you and me, the RDX is the kind of vehicle you buy to treat yourself. Therefore, I would recommend the A-SPEC versions, especially since there isn't a huge price difference between them and the base model.
You may find models elsewhere that are bolder, more powerful, or more versatile, but the Acura RDX remains by far one of the most highly regarded models in its segment when it comes to reliability. It is a well-balanced vehicle that has plenty to offer and lacks nothing in terms of equipment. It absolutely deserves a spot in your top three if you're shopping for a luxury compact SUV.

The Acura RDX may not have changed much since the current generation was introduced in 2019, but it hides its age very well. The model still looks modern and up to date. It carries itself with elegance while its aggressive lines clearly emphasize its performance-oriented character. The front end has a strong personality thanks to its superb modern headlights.
The RDX's cabin is probably the area that shows its age the most, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing, as it features a unique and striking design. It is one of the few vehicles to use a touchpad to control the infotainment screen, something I find both interesting and useful. It allows you to navigate through the system more quickly and precisely.
The 2026 Acura RDX offers just one powertrain, and that's perfectly fine. It features a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels through an all-wheel-drive system. The manufacturer rates fuel consumption at 11.0 L/100 km in the city and 8.6 L/100 km on the highway, putting it right around the average for its class. That's excellent for a vehicle that doesn't offer a hybrid version.
Its infotainment system takes some time to get used to. I'm not a big fan of the push-button gear selector design. Its towing capacity is a little low.
It ranks among the most reliable and safest vehicles in its segment. Its design is sure to turn heads wherever it goes, and it remains a very enjoyable vehicle to drive.
Its legendary reliability and low maintenance costs make it one of the most appealing luxury vehicles on the market.
The Acura RDX is one of the few luxury vehicles that can be considered a rational choice. Not to mention that it is only slightly more expensive than an equivalent mainstream model, which makes it even more appealing.
